Bernice Christopher and Rosemarie Ewing-James, Associate Executive Director, Forestdale, accept donation of toys from Andrew Hevesi, Assemblyman, 28th District, Queens County.

Forest Hills native Andrew Hevesi paid a visit to Forestdale today to deliver a gift of over 50 children’s toys to contribute to the Holiday Toy Drive. Hevesi represents New York’s 28^th legislative district in the State Assembly, which is comprised of Forest Hills, Rego Park, Middle Village, and sections of Glendale, Kew Gardens, and Maspeth.

Assemblyman Hevesi responded to Forestdale’s overtures to build a positive relationship. His office organized two of its own toy drives, the proceeds from which he contributed to Forestdale. Hevesi personally delivered the gifts, and met with Robert Rogan and Rosemarie Ewing-James, senior directors of Forestdale’s programs, in order to familiarize himself with Forestdale’s history, mission, and programs.
