Our Network | Queens is one of the most ethnically diverse places in the United States, if not the world. Our residents trace their roots to 90 countries, and seven out of every ten births in the borough are to a foreign-born mother, according to the American Community Survey. At Forestdale, we strive to build programs that address this diverse social panorama. We also know that all Queens residents seek a better quality of life for their families, whether they live in Flushing or South Jamaica or Corona.

They key to our work is building partnerships in the community, whether it’s through the Jamaica Community Parntership Initiative, the Faith-Based Neighborhood Initiative, or our day-to-day work in foster care and preventive services. We work with schools, hospitals, civic organizations and local businesses to build a network of services that make sense for Queens families.
