The Infant Mortality Reduction Program, funded by the NYC Department of Health, is designed to address the high infant mortality rate that plagues low-income Queens neighborhoods, including Jamaica, Elmhurst and Far Rockaway. Our dynamic Infant Mortality Reduction specialist supports mothers through the exciting and challenging first year of her baby’s life. A veteran community health worker, the specialist leads educational workshops and offers home visits to clients who need additional support.
