Forestdale’s Preventive Services help stressed families address challenges before they escalate into full-blown crises. The goal of Preventive Services is to help families avoid the foster care system and connect parents and children with the resources they need to thrive. Preventive caseworkers help parents address issues that impact their ability to support their children, from chronic unemployment to educational neglect to domestic violence. Our approach reflects the principle that children, parents and society benefit most when families have the resources they need to stay together.
